Free online RPG game with social network elements
Role-playing games are usually set in medieval environments and feature knights, trolls and all sorts of mythological creatures. But some other RPG titles stand out of the crowd and offer an original setting along with some unique features.
This is the case of Wonderland Online, a role-playing adventure with an extensive social component, Japanese-style characters and environments and a turn-based combats that reminded us of pure RPG games. The first steps involve, as in any other RPG game, choosing a server and creating your character. You'll spawn in a ship that's unfortunately bound to sink, after which you're rescued by a nice castaway and the real adventure begins.
Wonderland Online features a bit of everything: doing quests to obtain rewards, killing enemies to gain experience points and progress through levels, learning skills, developing professions and, of course, meeting other players from around the globe. All these elements make of Wonderland Online a really attractive melting pot for all sorts of players, whether they like to wander around chatting with people or they prefer to focus on the development of their character.
I liked the game's visual style a lot. Characters - and even more, objects – are designed with great detail, with a nice isometric perspective. An important drawback to this design, however, is the fact that the text in the chat window is ridiculously difficult to read and doesn't get better even if you change the font color.
Other than that, I found Wonderland Online quite entertaining and addictive. In fact, I had to make an effort to stop playing and start writing this review. One final tip: don't feel overwhelmed by the amount of information you're presented with during the first few minutes of gameplay: the game is really easy to control and besides, you can always ask other players for help.
Wonderland Online includes traditional RPG elements (skills, professions, turn-based combats, resource management) together with social networking characteristics and a very original design. All these features make of Wonderland Online an MMORGP that's definitely worth a try.

Fun but not without flaws.
I've been playing Wonderland Online on and off for years. I enjoy the social aspects of the game as well as the cute characters and colorful surroundings and places to visit. Creating items for the tent to make into a home is fun as well as the fishing, mining, remote control, combining, and other abilities. The characters are pretty and cute as well as the armor. There is alot to do. I am addicted to and keep coming back. There are quite a few flaws in this game though that I wanted to point out. One is the fact that customer support is extremely poor. I have gone there a couple of times because I have had trouble buying points. One time I made a big purchase and never got the points. I went to customer service over and over and it was extremely hard to understand what they were saying because their english was so poor. Then they told me it was because my character was not a high enough level. I don't think this was fair at all because it is very misleading and they should have a note up about that somewhere before someone spends there money and has to wait leveling up.On the social aspect there seems to be alot of young kids playing the game that sit around taking up world and local chat in little groups making fun of new players and acting all high and might becuase of their so called status. As an older player I do not enjoy viewing this imaturity and harrasment. The creators should have someone monetering the chat systems more often. The other thing I do not like is that leveling up in Wonderland and acheiving goals has alot to do with how much of your hard earned cash your willing to spend in the item mall or how many extra bot characters your willing to create. It's not really a fair system. Not to mention the points cards are extremely over priced and give you barely any points for your money. I have also seen alot of the high level characters charge outragous and rediculous in game prices for high level equipment that to buy, you would either have to spend hard earned cash to get Item Mall points or spend a couple of months getting items in the rock monster cave. One more complaint I have is that I think there should be more characters to choose from when first creating a character. It gets boring seeing the same ones over and over again. The new marriage system seems nice also but it's too easy to get married and I believe alot of the younger and more imature players are simply using it to get the wedding gowns and outfits and to have a fun online social party in the church. Before I leave my final note- The bursting system tends to be overly complicated. It can be annoying at times and is geared towards fire characters and water characters. If you are earth or wind no one seems to want to bother bursting with you.
Pros:
Beautiful graphics. Cute Characters. Cute armor. Fun tent equipment. Cute monsters. Nice art. Good chat system.
Cons:
Extremely poor customer service. Very bad english in quests text. Over priced Points Cards. Unfair leveling and money systems. Unmoderated chat services. Harrasment of new players. Not enough characters to choose from. More
